A hiking we will go...
We got up early today and were a bit bored so Dustin suggested we pack the kids up and take them on a hike in the mountains. I said sure, I was just a little worried about how hot it would be. It's muggy here still from all the fires in the mountains so that worried me to. We drove up to "The Rock", one of my husbands FAVORITE places (he use to go there alot by himself or with friends in HS, he said his first time there was with his uncle as a child). We parked the car and took a trail (not the one to the rock). It was very shady from all the trees, there were some spots of light that would shine through, it looked awesome! We hiked for maybe 45 minutes there and then of course Aidan started saying he was hungry lol. So we went back to the car, snacked, and drank water, then headed up to Castle rock to hike a little more and climb the rock caves. The caves were so cool.
